Sorry to those of you who may be vegan, but we are carnivores in our home. My son was very proud of his first pheasant, and it did taste good. This is the youth hunt sponsored by many local businesses and the local chapter of Quail Forever. Also pictured on the left is my husband (and proud father) and to the right is the volunteer dog owner/handler.
The program gives kids the opportunity to hunt for free in a safe learning environment. Pictures from the morning and afternoon hunt can be seen on my site under events.
